If you find yourself with a few spare hours in the city of Aberdeen why not arrange a fantastic half-day of history and exploring the delights of Scotland’s most famous drink, whisky. The tour takes you through the historic centre of the city of Aberdeen. Discover how the city grew to be the size it is today and the points of history which lead to it’s growth and learn some quirky facts about 19th century Aberdonians and their love of drinking and what measures were put in place to curb it!

The walk weaves it’s way through the bustling, silvery, granite city centre and passes by some key areas and sights:

  • Aberdeen Harbour
  • St Nicolas Kirk and Graveyard
  • Marischal College
  • Castlegate

  • Greyfriars Church
  • St Andrews Cathedral

Whisky has always been an Aberdeen tradition and this walk has a modern-day slant by tasting some of the whiskies from close to Aberdeen along the way. Stop offs at 3 fantastic whisky bars in the city. 3 duos of Aberdeenshire, East Highland and Speyside malts. With a bit of tutoring too on the best way to enjoy Scotland’s National Drink.
