Whisky Tasting and a Wee Burns Supper

January evenings are dark, cold and sometimes miserable, depending on how you feel after the festive period. 

To beat the winter blues, I have decided to host a whisky tasting evening at The Speyside Hotel in Grantown-on-Spey on January 23rd 2021. This coincidentally is the weekend before Burns Night. So, why not celebrate? https://thespeysidehotel.co.uk

There will be 6 very different drams. Each one is maybe a little different. For fun, we will not know which is which and each taster which try and decipher the drams from the distilleries, often flowery, tasting and nosing notes. 

With a nod to the bard himself, we will have a bit of a mini-Burns Supper and have a break midway for some haggis, neeps and tatties. Other food options will be available. 

The 6 drams we will be trying will be:

  • Glendronach Traditionally Peated
  • Bladnoch 10yo
  • Kilkerran 12yo
  • Ardbeg Wee Beastie
  • Glenmorangie ‘Tale of Cake’
  • Glencadam Reserva Andalucia
